DeRoyal has together with Boa Technology Inc developed an innovative closure system for ankle braces. The Boa Closure System makes it both fast and easy to apply the brace. The system consists of an adjustment disc with a cartridge to retract the cord.The cord system is made of a low friction lace that runs through loops that have been placed to provide optimal support and compression. After the application of the cross-straps that reinforces the brace, it’s possible to re-adjust the compression of the brace with the disc. The result is an ankle brace with optimal performance and fit. The ankle brace is made of ballistic nylon with rip-stop function. The brace has no seam below and provides therefore a very low profile which makes it suitable for tight shoes. The two individual cross-straps around the ankle provide support. They are designed as two figure-eight straps that control the medial and lateral support.Indications: Ankle sprains with instability and swelling, medial and lateral ligament injuries or instabilities after ankle fractures.
