A knee orthosis with a silicone pad around the patella. The pad provides extra support and compression for the patella and the surrounding tissue. The orthosis has three compression zones with the highest compression over the joint. The compression decreases in the ends of the orthosis. The knee fold has a softer structure to increase comfort.
