The new ROM-hinge is made from a stainless steel allow which makes it completely maintenance free. Extension stops can be set in 10, 20 and 30 degrees, flexion stops in 60, 75 and 90 degrees. The hinge can also be fixated in 0, 20, 40 and 60 degrees for total immobilization. This makes the orthosis even more versatile as it can be used for short-term post operative use.The hinge is fixated with pins that are secured with a plastic cap. The hinge pocket has been improved to keep the ROMhinge completely encapsulated to ensure an optimal comfort and fit. The opening for the hinge is in the upper-back portion. That ensures that it's secure during activity but can be removed easily when needed. The model has four half circular straps that can be adjusted individually. They provide a good support and stability to the knee joint.
