LOW stands for Lateral Orthotic Wedge and is simply a lateral posted insole that compensates for part of the forefoot supination. This can be very useful in rehabilitation to reduce load and pain. It can also be used for lateral ankle instabilities to prevent re-spraining. It's exellent to use for patients with medial osteoarthritis (OA) as it can change to loading of the joint surface and reduce pain.
